a few select poems from me, a part-time wordsmith

Poem below by Renate Kahru / Poetry Uprising

I must be off for now myself
trying to become more than a mere word-spinning elf
I don't know the direction that I should turn
but I guess there's one way to learn
Thank you for teaching me these lessons so well:
words don't always have to be written on a serious note
sometimes it's fun to just play
the creative block I've been battling
is on its way out
and soon I'll be spinning words with the best in the world
okay maybe not but at least I can write again
I've added our tale here and perhaps others will add
their corners to our little world
I thank you for the advice you've given
and for dragging me up from the depths
forcing me to write,
sometimes writing -anything- is better than nothing
I feel I should leave you with something as well
*checks her pockets*
*pulls out a grin and hands it to you*
*pulls out a towel with 42 on it* "who knew I was carrying the answer with me all the time?"
*pulls out 7 goats all named Bob*
*pulls out 65 daffodils*
*finally pulls out her light saber and has you keep it all safe*

"The goats like caviar for breakfast. I can't afford them anymore."

*goes off into a corner to continue writing*
